On December 30, Mr. Costas Papacostas OLY, President of the Cyprus Olympians Association, accompanied by Mr. Damianos Hadjidamianou, President of the Friends of the Cyprus Olympians Association, as well as Brigadier General (ret.) Paris Markou, paid an official visit to the Chief of the National Guard, Mr. Emmanuel Theodorou.

During the meeting, the work and activities of the Cyprus Olympians were presented, while reference was made to the long-standing support received by the Cyprus Olympians Association from the Government, and in particular from the President of the Republic of Cyprus and the Cyprus Sports Organisation.

The Chief of the National Guard expressed, among other points, his positive stance on the prospect of future cooperation between the National Guard and the Olympians community, through initiatives that promote the values of excellence, discipline and service.

As part of the visit, the Olympians presented the Chief of the National Guard with their publications, while the Chief of the National Guard presented the emblem of the National Guard as a gift.
