One of the main goals of the CYPRUS OLYMPIANS is to contribute to our fellow human beings through various activities (such as participating in marathon races, visiting charitable institutions and hospitals), as well as to promote Olympism and its values through educational lectures in primary and secondary schools.
The focus always remains on our youth, as they represent the future of the country in key sectors such as politics, economy, education, health, and of course, sports — all actively contributing to the shaping of a better society.
These initiatives are actively implemented through seminars and lectures aimed at primary school students, as well as students of lower and upper secondary education. Specifically, in recent times, educational lectures were held for 5th grade primary school students at the Historical Archive and Research Center on March 18 & 19, as part of the lecture series “Introduction to Olympic and Other Sports,” within the framework of the “LEMESIA” events.
Much has already been accomplished, and even more is expected in the near future, with the CYPRUS OLYMPIANS taking on an active and leading role.
Another noteworthy example is the continuous support and active participation of the CYPRUS OLYMPIANS in wheelchair marathon races, supporting the 365 FOUNDATION, with the aim of empowering and supporting the dreams of individuals with mobility challenges.
The CYPRUS OLYMPIANS are always open to ideas and valuable collaborations, wherever possible, with the goal of promoting the three core values of Olympism: EXCELLENCE, RESPECT, FRIENDSHIP.
Always by our side is the Honorable President of the Republic of Cyprus and our dear friend, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, who has consistently supported our work and initiatives. We extend our heartfelt thanks to him, as well as to the highest sports authority in our country, the Cyprus Sports Organization (CSO), and its President, Mr. Yiannis Ioannou, for their continuous support.
Because Olympism is not just about competitions; it is about values, education, and strength of spirit — a strength that unites us.
