An Educational Journey into Sport!

The Physical Education Educational Programme of the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth, in collaboration with Sports Federations of the Cyprus Sports Organisation and the Sports Office of the Limassol Municipality, offers students a unique opportunity to explore the world of Olympic Sports.

The programme takes place at the Spyros Kyprianou Athletic Centre, where students have the opportunity to meet elite athletes and role models who have represented Cyprus at the Olympic Games. Through their stories, students learn about their sporting journeys, personal experiences, and the many benefits of physical activity.

On 20 January 2026, students had the opportunity to meet Cypriot Olympian swimmer Charalambos Panagidis, who represented Cyprus at the 1992 Olympic Games. Through his personal story and experiences, he inspired students by sharing the values of dedication, perseverance, and excellence that define the Olympic spirit.

An experience that combines knowledge, inspiration, and action, passing on the values of sport to the next generation.
